Just press the RIGHT ARROW on your keyboard's arrow/cursor section. I think I may have found a workaround tonight though (because it happened this evening, by chance). This 'feature' (problem/bug/whatever) used to annoy the heck out of me too. This is even though Mouse and Keyboard are saved in TS options. I have to pick up Xbox Cont and use the D-Pad to move along consist to uncouple anything. The mouse slider bar may be there once or twice to move along a long consist, but then use it again and there is just the button "Back" in corner of Uncouple area on HUD and no mouse slider. I know mine seems only a minor problem and probably unrelated to your problem ShiningDragon, but shows there are possibly 1 or 2 probs with Xbox controller and TS2014. Just wish that if i choose Mouse and Keyboard in TS game options it would use them all the time and not revert to half and half. Not going to unplug xbox controller all the time because some games i use it with and some i dont.
Think there are a couple of issues with Xbox360 controller ShiningDragon, i have the wired one plugged in and while i dont have the same problem as you (have tried using xbox controller with TS but cant get on with it), the problem i have is that i switch off Controller in TS2014 options so that i can use mouse and keyboard as i always have, and that works ok up until i have to uncouple parts of a long consist.
If you have any more information or find a to reproduce it please let us know. We will however report it and keep and eye out for any signs of it. As you state it is not reproducible which makes it impossible to test.
We will pass it on to our testing team to check out. Well the first issue you described should be pretty easy to test. This happens without doing something special and is not planned reproducable - it just happens, when it want's to do. For example: The left analog stick can't be used anymore for the direction, the left shoulder button for acceleration doesn't work anymore. I don't do anything special, just driving. I can only say, that the buttonmapping changes while playing.

Normally i am playing a Scenario / free roam and have paused Train Simulator (seeing the menu in front). Currently i can only say, that it happens sometimes. I can confirm, that the controller and receiver works like charme, because the game Skyrim works great with it. Yes, an official and genuine Microsoft X-Box 360 Controller Wireless for Windows.

It's no joy to control this game from the couch before the big lcd tv with this tools - gamepad is in general way better. And no, i am not interested to drive with keyboard and mouse. The controllersupport needs really a rework. Then suddenly, without changing something, the configuration is wrong somehow the buttons aren't working all and the buttons left will do something total different, as they did minutes or seconds before. For example: I'll play a nice round, steering is ok as it should via gamepad. The next annoying part ist, that the reaction of the controller something is wrong. If i am playing with the controller and make a pause, for example making a cup of tea or something similar and the recognized controller disables itself (energy saving) and i reenable it, then the chance is very high, that TS 2014 will crash to desktop without any error message! This shouldn't really happens in games today. For example take a look at Skyrim, there's the implementation of the controller way better and works under every circumstances. If i enable the controller after the game starts it will not be recognized anymore. My genuine Microsoft X-Box 360 WIRELESS Controller will only be recognized by TS 2014, if i enable it before starting the game. I wouldn't say that Train Simulator 2014 is fully X-Box 360 Controller compatible. Second, no i won't write an email to the "support", because this is a general problem. First, excuse my potentially bad english - it's not my native language.
